Senior SQL Lead | Cross-Sell Credit

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Senior SQL Lead, to balance technical leadership (70%) and people management (30%) for a team. This role will drive the SQL DB architecture and delivery of our monthly Cross-Sell Personal Loan eligibility base rollouts and related programs to drive portfolio growth meeting Business projections and plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and upload of Cross-Sell PL eligibility base month-on-month under strict timelines with nil-errors / re-works

Explore and implement scalable pipeline designs

Design, build and optimize complex stored procedures, dynamic SQL functions to support time-critical Credit activities

Troubleshoot and optimize query performance, indexing and execution plans across massive datasets in SQL DB

Perform cutting-edge analysis using SQL / Python focused on controlling Credit Risk and identifying additional opportunities / customer segments

Portfolio Quality improvement through designing specific Credit Actions (Monthly)

Maintain up-to-date documentation for all Cross-Sell Personal loan programs

Managing Senior stakeholders from Credit, Risk, Sales and Operations by undertaking range of analyses, incorporating proposed changes / complex business logic into clean production grade SQL codes

Hands-on coding vs team management (70:30)

Job Requirements:

MTech / MS Statistics / Economics (leading institutes) in leading NBFCs, Banks in a Risk Analytics function

8- 12 years of experience in credit policy or risk management, preferably in NBFCs, FinTechs, or digital lending platforms with 3+ years of people / stakeholder management experience

Balance technical leadership (70%) and people management (30%) while owning time-bound monthly Risk / Collections program implementations using advanced SQL procedures (must-have)

Sharp presentation skills tailored to Senior Management / stakeholders expectations and obtained buy-in within strict timelines

Experience in cross-sell or pre-approved loan programs is highly desirable

Exposure to digital lending platforms, API-based underwriting, and rule engines is a plus

SQL (Advanced stored procedures, macros), Python (Intermediate / Advanced)

Familiarity with bureau data (CIBIL, Experian, CRIF), alternate data sources, and credit decisioning tools.

Good knowledge of unsecured lending products, especially personal loans

Exposure to loan portfolio MIS and Portfolio Quality tracking

Knowledge of loan pricing techniques would be an advantage

Handle multiple deliverables successfully

Ability to work in fast-paced environments with cross-functional collaboration
