About the Role:

reputed company is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coder & Biller to join their team part-time in Gainesville, VA. This is not a remote job, must be in person. Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibility wil be to accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient encounters and procedures for 9 providers - Must have excellent up to date coding knowledge

Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance carriers, including Medicare and Medicaid

Review and resolve claim denials, rejections, and appeals in a timely manner

Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances to accounts

Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to billing

Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and unpaid claims

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer-specific billing guidelines

Perform other duties as assigned to support the practice

Requirements:

23 years of medical coding and billing experience in a family medicine practice (required)

Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems

Familiarity with EHR/practice management software (preferably reputed company)

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing requirements

CPC, CCS, or equivalent medical coding certification preferred

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Excellent organizational and communication skills
