Merchandiser - Operations & Production Apparels

About the job:Akshaya CTS is a fashion manufacturing and production solutions company working across design development, fabric and trim sourcing, sampling, surface development and apparel production. We work across women's, men's and kidswear, supporting brands from product development through production. We are looking for a hands-on merchandiser - operations & production to manage the day-to-day coordination of orders, sampling, materials, vendors and production. The role involves working closely with the Founder, production team, vendors and clients to ensure that every order moves smoothly from sampling to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage style-wise order and production trackers and ensure timelines are followed.

2. Coordinate sampling, alterations, approvals and production.

3. Follow up daily with tailors, masters, subcontractors and vendors.

4. Coordinate fabric, trims and other production requirements.

5. Track fabric/material availability, consumption and pending requirements.

6. Coordinate cutting, stitching, finishing, quality checking and dispatch.

7. Conduct basic quality and measurement checks against approved samples.

8. Identify production delays, material shortages and quality issues and escalate them immediately.

9. Coordinate vendor visits, sourcing/market runs and production follow-ups when required.

10. Maintain records for orders, samples, vendors, production, materials and deliveries.

11. Assist with basic costing, quotations and purchase requirements.

12. Ensure client requirements, specifications and delivery commitments are communicated correctly to the production team.

Note:

1. You will be exposed to fashion merchandising, product development, sampling, fabric & trim sourcing, apparel production, vendor management, quality control, costing, and order management.

2.
