GTM Engineer - Internship (WFH)

About the internship:Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Automated supply-side acquisition (solving the cold start): Write Python/Node.js scripts to scrape local directories, community boards, and social media to identify independent care providers, local tennis coaches, and indie event hosts in Toronto. Build automated, personalized cold-email and DM outreach sequences

2. Programmatic SEO and local discovery: Engineer a system to dynamically generate hundreds of localized, high-intent landing pages (e.g., 'Elderly companions in The Annex,' 'Pickup basketball in Trinity Bellwoods') to capture local search traffic at scale

3. Growth loops and referral mechanics: Build and A/B test in-app referral systems, gamified waitlists, and viral sharing mechanics that reward users for bringing their friends or local communities onto the platform

4. Analytics and activation pipelines: Set up product analytics (e.g., PostHog, Mixpanel) and write SQL queries to track user journeys across our three verticals. Identify our 'Aha!' moments and engineer automated lifecycle emails/push notifications to drive retention

5. AI-powered growth hacks: Experiment with LLM APIs to personalize onboarding flows, automate community moderation, or generate localized marketing copy at scale using our Bud-AI infrastructure

6. 1. This is a 4-month, remote internship for a GTM engineer intern

2. There is continued potential for full-time conversion after the internship

3. Unlike a traditional marketing role, a GTM engineer sits at the intersection of marketing, product, and engineering. You will not just be writing copy or posting on social media; you will be writing code, building automated pipelines, and engineering growth loops to acquire our first 10,000 users and solve the marketplace "cold start" problem

4. This role is highly entrepreneurial and ideal for a technical builder who wants to use code to scale a business from the ground up

5. Depending on your strengths, you will build and execute technical growth strategies
