Job description

About the internship:Graphic Design & Visual Communication Intern

Concepts. Illustrations. Digital Experiences. Real-World Impact.

Design beyond the brief.

What if your internship wasn't just about making things look good but about shaping how people understand ideas, products and technology?

We simplify complex technology for daily work. We're looking for a curious, visually driven designer who wants to explore ideas, build concepts and turn complexity into clear, engaging visual experiences.

This is an opportunity to work across concept design, illustration, website design and visual communication from the first idea to the final experience.

What you'll work on:

> Concept design: Turn ideas, frameworks and abstract concepts into compelling visual stories.

> Illustration: Create original illustrations, visual metaphors, diagrams and explanatory graphics that make complex ideas easier to understand.

> Web design: Help shape website layouts, landing pages, page structures and digital experiences.

> Visual identity: Explore visual languages, typography, colour systems and design directions that give a technology brand its character.

> Information design: Transform complex information, workflows and technical concepts into intuitive visuals.

> End-to-end execution: Take work from research and ideation through sketches, iterations, design refinement and final delivery.

You'll have room to explore different approaches, challenge conventions and develop a portfolio of work grounded in real business and product challenges.

What experience will you gain:

(1) Own the journey from idea to execution

> Experience the full design process not just isolated production tasks. Understand the problem, develop concepts, present alternatives, receive feedback and see your work come to life.

(2) Work on meaningful B2B design challenges

> Learn how design makes complex technology understandable, builds trust and helps people make decisions. This is design for real users and real business problems, not just decorative content.

(3) Build a diverse, portfolio-worthy body of work

> Work across illustrations, web experiences, visual frameworks and conceptual storytelling. Develop case studies that show not only what you designed, but how you thought.

4. Explore beyond conventional graphic design

> Experiment with visual storytelling, information architecture, digital experiences and emerging ways of communicating ideas. Bring your own perspective and help us discover new possibilities.

5. Learn through collaboration and feedback

> Work closely with the team, discuss ideas, iterate on designs and learn how creative decisions connect to product, brand and business strategy. Where available, gain exposure to collaboration with design professionals from different backgrounds and markets.

Who we're looking for

> We're interested in how you think as much as what software you use.

You might be a good fit if you:

> Studied graphic design, communication design, visual communication, interaction design or a related discipline or have an equivalent self-developed portfolio.

> Enjoy turning abstract or complicated ideas into clear visual concepts.

> Have an eye for typography, composition, colour, layout and visual storytelling.

> Are interested in illustration, web design, digital products and brand experiences.

> Are comfortable exploring multiple concepts, receiving feedback and refining your work.

> Are curious, proactive and willing to experiment rather than rely on templates.

> Experience with Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar tools is useful. A strong willingness to learn matters more than knowing every tool.

> Most importantly: show us how you think. Personal projects, experiments and unconventional ideas are welcome.

The kind of work you'll leave with

> By the end of the internship, you should have experience contributing to real design projects, a stronger understanding of end-to-end design, and portfolio pieces that demonstrate your ability to solve visual communication problems.

If Interested:

> Share your portfolio, a short introduction and a few lines about the kinds of design problems you'd love to explore.

We'd especially like to see one project where you took an idea from an early concept to a finished visual outcome.

Come help us make complex things simpler and make the process of designing them interesting, too.Who can apply:Only those candidates can apply who:are available for the work from home job/internshipcan start the work from home job/internship between 10th Oct'26 and 14th Nov'26are available for duration of 2 monthshave relevant skills and interests* Women wanting to start/restart their career can also apply.Stipend:INR₹ 25,000 - 30,000 /monthDeadline:[hidden]:59:59Other perks:Flexible work hoursSkills required:Adobe Photoshop, UI & UX Design, Web Design, Sketch, Figma and Digital IllustrationAbout Company:UTOR Labs believes that the quality of human decisions is distinctly improved when augmented by machine intelligence.
