Position : Associate General Manager- QualityExperience : 15-20 Years Location : Oragadam,ChennaiJob Description Quality Assurance (Truck & Bus Chassis Production) DICVResponsibilities:1. Quality Assurance in Production:Define and implement Quality Assurance processes and QM tools for chassis and vehicle production (Cabin, Paint, Trim, Chassis, EOL).Establish PDI quality processes to ensure finished goods meet standards.Implement continuous improvement initiatives for QA.2. Product Quality Assurance:Plan inspection gates and audits (geometry, torque, teardown, etc.).Implement End-of-Line QC and customer complaint analysis systems.Support quality activities for new projects, track KPIs, and drive improvements.3. Issue Resolution:Lead concern registration, tracking, escalation, and resolution forums.Ensure issues are fixed first-time (FFS) and non-recurring.Conduct Field Quality meetings, align stakeholders, and drive engineering change approvals.Address supplier issues and ensure cost recovery.4. Field Fix Management:Decide field actions for safety/emission-related issues and recalls.Improve diagnostics and troubleshooting.Enable product improvements through bulletins in coordination with service teams.5. Product Projects Support:Support QM deliverables in DICV product projects.Participate in PFMEA, control plan reviews, and setup support for KD/CKD plants.6. Quality Management Systems:Implement and manage QA-related processes and product/process approvals.Conduct pre-series product and process releases.7. People & Performance Management:Define roles, manage team targets, budgets, and process improvements.Drive competency through forums (QCFI, CII), and enable team participation.Lead cross-functional efforts to reduce warranty claims and improve customer satisfaction.Collaborate globally (Germany, Japan) on product issue resolutions.8. Budget & Leadership:Manage and optimize QA budgets (CAPEX/OPEX).Drive 5S, conduct skip-level connects, and represent QA in forums (APC, QEB, SFM).Ensure compliance to all policies and lead strategic QM system enrichment. .
