Sr. Software Tester (India)

We are looking for an Experienced Software tester for Web and Mobile application testing .

Experience : 5+ years in software testing

Location : Kolkata ; Strictly work from office

Not looking for candidates who are residents of outside West Bengal.

Job Description :

• Should be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications through meticulous testing and verification.
• Primary focus will be on conducting manual tests, identifying software defects, and reporting them to the development team.
• Will be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure that applications meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct manual testing: Perform thorough testing of web and mobile applications to identify bugs, usability issues, and other defects.
• Lead a team of junior testers , train them as and when required.
• Test case creation: Develop detailed test cases and test scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
• User story creation: Pre development write down the user stories to cover various use case and scenarios
• SOW creation: Creation of scope of work in detailed and comprehensive manner to cover all scope of work.
• Test execution: Execute test cases and record test results accurately, maintaining a detailed log of defects and issues discovered during testing.
• Defect reporting and tracking: Document software defects in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce and relevant details, and track their status through to resolution.
• Regression testing: Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved without introducing current problems.
• Usability testing: Evaluate user interfaces, user experience, and overall application functionality to ensure optimal user experience and adherence to design guidelines.
• Cross-platform testing: Test applications across multiple browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices to ensure consistent performance and compatibility.
• Test environment setup: Collaborate with the development and operations teams to set up and maintain test environments that mirror production environments accurately.
• Continuous improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging trends to contribute to the improvement of testing processes and techniques.
• Communication and collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication of testing progress, issues, and risks.

Experience : 5 years + experience in manual software testing.

Salary : upto 60,000 (inclusive of all compliances, depending on experience and last drawn salary)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: Up to 60,000.00 per month
