Roles and responsibilities:

Responsiblefor workingintheoffer and execution phase.Review the tender documents provided in the proposalsandraise technical queries. Follow upontender bulletins as applicable.Work closely with the Project Management team for efficient and effective Execution of the project.Preparation of deliverables such as consumer list, Instrument Lists, IO Lists, Cable Interconnection Drawings, Control System Interlocking Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Instrument Hook-Ups, Instrument Location Plans, JB Grouping, PLC Architecture Drawings and Instrument Datasheets.Preparation ofspecifications,data sheetsandsizing ofelectrical equipment, SLDs &schematicdiagrams,electrical calculations,electrical layouts,inquiry/purchase requisition,vendor offer review & document review,lighting calculation for cement & mineral processing products/projects.Prepare various estimates likebill of quantities,material cost,man-hours,software cost,vendor assistance,vendor visitsandany other estimates asrequiredfor the bid.Provide engineering input totheproposalsteam, prepare technical queries, risk register, project execution plan, technical bid analysisand optimisation.Review contract requirements for project execution,organisethe preparation of the Technical Document Register (TDR), identify requirements and scope of work.Establish contract review criteria, identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to projects/client.Verify andconceptualisethe most optimum work route. Identify a clear scope of work/supply.Plan or schedule according tothe engineering activities and manpowerresources. Identify and quantifythetotal number of engineering deliverables, man-hour allocation,delivery format, time schedules and other requirements for execution of the work.Ensure compliance of design based on engineering practices, company standards, client contract requirements andapplicableinternational codes and standards for assigned projects.Provide inputs for the preparation of equipment layout,organisethe issuance of engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDCs)andcoordinate with other engineeringdisciplinesin the integration of data inputs.Prepare Inquiry Requisitions to vendors,leadandguide theTechnical Bid Evaluations (TBE)andcoordinate preparation of PRs (Purchase Requisitions) for the procurement of equipment and materials.Performand or/supervisethereview of vendor drawings, documentsanddesign calculations. Ensure that vendor equipment specificationscomply withclient equipment specifications. Ensurethatmaterials are received within scheduled timeframes and budgeted costs.Coordinate with projects and planning departments onschedule-relatedissues.Interface regularly with client and vendor representativestoensurethattheprojectprogressesin accordance with schedule, allotted man-hours and budgeted costs.
