Structural Draftsman/woman (Hyderabad)

Structural Draftsman Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare detailed drawings of structural components and systems
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to refine design concepts
• Ensure all drawings comply with building codes and regulations
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers
• Create 3D models of structures using CAD software
• Calculate dimensions, weights, and stresses of various materials
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building materials and construction methods
• Perform site visits to gather data and verify measurements
• Update project documentation as changes are made
• Provide assistance in the preparation of project estimates and schedules
• Ensure proper document management and filing of all blueprints and plans
• Coordinate with contractors and construction teams to clarify design details

Structural Draftsman Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Certification in CAD software
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Previous experience in a structural drafting role
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles
• Good spatial awareness and an eye for detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit
• Solid understanding of construction and building codes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans
• Solid mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of materials and construction methods
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
