Vendor Strategy & DevelopmentDefine and implement a structured vendor ecosystem for key procurement categories.Key activities:Identify and onboard strategic suppliersDevelop vendor capability for critical componentsMaintain supplier performance evaluation systemReduce supplier dependency risksVendor development focus areas include:Boilers & pressure partsFabrication vendorsElectrical and control componentsEPC project supply chain items 3. Annual Rate Contracts (ARC)Lead the development and management of annual rate contracts for major procurement categories.Responsibilities include:Identify repeat procurement categories suitable for ARCNegotiate long-term pricing agreementsEnsure volume leverage across plants and projectsMaintain price stability and reduce purchase price variance 4. Credit Terms & Commercial NegotiationsLead commercial negotiations with major suppliers to optimize working capital.Key focus areas:Extended credit termsPayment milestone structuringPrice-volume negotiationRisk-sharing agreementsThis responsibility significantly impacts working capital and EBITDA. 5. Major Supplier Relationship ManagementDevelop strategic relationships with key suppliers.Responsibilities include:Conduct periodic supplier review meetingsAddress escalation issues with major vendorsEnsure supply reliability for critical componentsBuild long-term supplier partnerships 6. Cross-Plant Procurement StandardizationEnsure procurement alignment across all plants and projects.Responsibilities include:Standardizing vendor lists across plantsAligning specifications where possibleEliminating duplicate supplier ecosystemsLeveraging combined purchasing volumes 8. Procurement Budget GovernanceOversee procurement budgeting discipline.Responsibilities include:Approve major purchase budgets before releaseMonitor procurement spend vs budgetEnsure cost discipline across projects and productionNote: Operational PO issuance handled by procurement managers. 9.
